S Trap Vent Pipe

The only difference between a p trap and an s trap is the horizontal length of pipe on the outflow side which allows you to connect the vent.

What i was planning was to use 1 1 2 pipe for the s trap and put a screw in type vent into the system. Venting allows water to pass out of the drains easily. There s even a wet vent included that connects to the bathtub. The toilet s trap arm also referred to as the fixture drain is the pipe between the trap and the vent.

It will need an s trap because the drain comes vertically up from the floor nearly underneath the sink.

If you re in the ipc there is no limitation in length for the toilet s trap arm. The image below illustrates s typical bathroom with multiple plumbing vents. As you can see the true vent aligns with the stack just behind the toilet. Today houses are vented through the roof.
