Sounds Like Footsteps On My Roof

I ve occasionally woken up to what i thought were foot step.

Sounds like footsteps on my roof.

I should also mention racoons birds and other animals make the same sound. Communal living and sleeplessness will do it. It literally sounds like someone punching sheetrock. Its not all in one area.

It could be any number of animals walking around on your roof. It doesn t really come across in the video but the sound was impossible to pin down. It comes from all around the room. Most of the noises seem to be coming from the top of the walls.

A lot of things sound like foot steps but if they go on and on for hours no matter what there s a good chance that noise is something else. There are loud banging noises coming from our attic roof. Mice make scratching sounds squirrels sound like normal human footsteps magpies make an unearthly racket. In new zealand the other animal that can be a cause of noises in the roof is the possum australian brushtail possum.

Trust me it sounds loud like a freaking human walking. As i sit here in bed trying to get some sleep i cannot.
